Pellestrina island
In front of Lido island, a few hundred meters away by vaporetto or ferry boat, we find the island of Pellestrina, still today a fishing community, far from the hectic life of Venice. In this island time has stopped, as it often happens in most of the islands of the lagoon.
You can still taste the atmosphere of a fishing village with its famous fish taverns overlooking the lagoon; with its wild beach, left in its natural state without any bathing settlement, nesting place for sea birds and turtles.
