Sant’Erasmo
Sant’Erasmo is the largest island after Venice and it was baptized as the “garden of the Serenissima”. Still known today for its fields where a variety of vegetables, vineyards and fruit trees grow, and famous throughout Italy for the “castraure”, the violet artichoke of S. Erasmo. We propose a pleasant itinerary first by boat and then by bicycle to get to know the island at 360 degrees, along paths that wind through vineyards, fruit trees and some greenhouses, signs of developed agriculture. It is an island that lends itself to tastings of vegetables, fruit, honey and wine, in fact a very interesting white wine is produced here.
